Ezbay was an app released in 1999 that allowed eBay auction sellers to track their auctions by placing HTML code inside their auction description. The tracking software provided referrer data and browser information giving a detailed analysis of how buyers found an auction and what keywords were used to do a search. Over 2000 buyers used ezbay and the software and website were eventually sold to a private party as a working business. Project included email profile mining from the ebay server, mass sales distribution, software writing/testing, customer scalability and product upgrades. A prime example of the power of data mining.
