Wacom Tablet

Jan 19 2007 9:23 am
In case anyone's curious i have been trying out a new Wacom tablet on my cartoons. I used to draw by hand and then scan in my black&white drawings then paint in photoshop. It takes a long time to do it that way and i have been trying to get faster. It is tricky to look in one place and draw on another. Even harder is you can't rotate the tablet like you would paper. Well, you can but it gets really confusing remembering which way is up. Overall, i like the Wacom tablet and i am glad i got it. Learning curve is still in effect so i'm not sure if i will ever get as comfortable as i am with pencil but time will tell. If i had the money, i would buy a Cintiq LCD tablet. It looks amazing and appears to remove all the problems that tablets face. Check out the new Cintiq, it's $2500.00 but looks like a great tool...
